Chettinad Academy of Research and Education, Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu (CARE) became a Deemed University in the year 2008. The institute offers 74 professional and job-oriented courses in the field of Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Nursing and Allied Health Sciences (AHS), Architecture, Commerce, and Law. Admission to UG, PG, and PhD courses are merit-based as well as based on the scores obtained in the All India standardized entrance exams like NEET, NATA, CLAT, LSAT depending on the courses. The institute also conducts Chettinad Entrance Aptitude Test (CEAT) for eligible applicants for admission in various courses at CARE. The application mode is online.
