About Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management, Bombay

In the year 1995, Shailesh J.Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM) was established. It is a part of the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
The school was renamed to Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management in the year 2000 in honor of Dr. Shailesh J. Mehta.
With a focus on science and technology, the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay was established in 1958 for providing leadership in education and research.
About 34,000 students have graduated from the Institution with Bachelors, Masters, and Ph.D. degrees, over a period of five decades.
With an emphasis on developing all-round managerial skills, SJMSOM was established to provide leadership in the area of management education. To enhance the leadership skills of working professionals at different levels, executive MBA and MDPs are introduced at SJMSOM.
In all functional areas of management, SJMSOM has experienced and young full-time Core Faculty, who are engaged in teaching, research and outreach activities.
The Goal of the SJMSOM:
Within the IIT Bombay eco-system and beyond, nurture intellectual capital by leveraging on research, collaborations, consultancy, and teaching is the goal of SJMSOM.
