• The candidates must be 10+2 passed from Maharashtra state board of secondary and higher secondary examination or equivalent examination.

Step 1: The admissions at BMSCE are through Centralized Admission Process(CAP).

Step 2: The candidates need to fill the online application form on the DTE website.

Step 3: After a display of the final merit list, vacant seats are provided to candidates in respective institutes.

Step 4: Candidates need to report corresponding ARC center along with a printout of online application form for confirmation of admissions.

• Department of Chemical Engineering at BMS institute was established in 1995 which offers the 4-year undergraduate degree with an intake capacity of 60 students.
• Along with UG programmes, the department also runs postgraduate and Ph.D. programmes.
• The UG department of Chemical engineering has received 5-year accreditation from NBA, Delhi.
• The faculty members of the department are well-qualified and highly experienced from premier institutions of the country.
• The department has well-equipped laboratory providing start of art facilities in the field of biochemical engineering.

• In the year of 2008, UG program of the department has awarded autonomous status by VTU to enhance knowledge of students.

• Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at BMS institute was established in 1971 which offers the 4-year undergraduate degree with an intake capacity of 120 students.
• The department also offers postgraduate programmes in digital communication, electronics VLSI and embedded systems.
• The department is recognized by Quality Improvement programmes (QIP) by AICTE from 2011.

The scholarship is awarded by BMS Class of 78 Trusts Fund to the seventh-semester students of Electronics and Electronics-Communication department who have a first class with distinction for the first six semesters.

The scholarships are provided to students belonging to SC/ST/OBC backward class categories. The scholarship includes DSW, DBCM, freeship, National Merit, Defense scholarship etc.

Huawei Technologies in India has signed MOU with BMS college of engineering to provide Huawei scholarships for the engineering students. About Rs.50,000 are provided by Huawei scholarships annually to the engineering students. The Huawei scholarships are given to the 10 students who have high academic performance and require financial assistance for education.

On campus placement is provided to students through training and placement cell of the institute. Every year more than 80% of students get placed in reputed companies.

Following are the activities carried out by the placement cell:

• Pre-placement training is provided to students related to soft skills, personality development, communication skills, aptitude tests during the final year of examination.
• Guest lectures are organized for all branches from industry experts.
• Internships/Workshops have been provided to students by various companies.
